Veronika and Petr Jarůšek gave an extensive interview to the prominent British music website Presto Music on the occasion of the release of the Pavel Haas Quartet’s new album featuring quartets by Bohuslav Martinů.
“Founded in Prague, the Pavel Haas Quartet have recently celebrated twenty years of recording with ‘home’ label Supraphon. In that time they have explored the music of contemporaries Dvořák, Smetana and Janáček, not to mention the group’s namesake Pavel Haas. Yet one significant contributor to the Czech string quartet canon has been conspicuous by his absence – until now.”
